Welcome ☕️
This is a quiet space for vegan Japanese home cooking 🌿
Here, I share simple, plant-based Japanese recipes—the kind that can be made in an ordinary kitchen, with ingredients that feel familiar and seasonal. I try to write each recipe as clearly as possible, so you can cook at your own pace and enjoy the process as much as the meal itself.

Japanese food is often introduced through sushi or ramen, but there is a much wider landscape beyond that. Everyday dishes, home-style cooking, humble flavors—these are what I return to again and again. Through this site, I hope to gently introduce that side of vegan Japanese cuisine, along with small glimpses of the culture that surrounds it.
If you have questions or thoughts, you’re always welcome to leave a note. I read every message, and I reply with care.
You can find the recipes here.

About Me
I was born and raised in a rural area of Japan in the 1990s, surrounded by quiet landscapes and changing seasons. From a young age, I felt curious about places beyond where I lived, and that curiosity has stayed with me.

In my twenties, I spent four years living in Vancouver, Canada. Since then, I’ve traveled to several countries, including the UK, India, the Philippines, South Korea, and France. Wherever I go, I’m drawn less to busy cities and more to nature—forests, rivers, parks, and the sea. Long, quiet walks are still one of my favorite ways to feel grounded.
After visiting India in 2013, I began practicing yoga, mainly Iyengar yoga. Alongside this, I’ve spent years exploring meditation and Gestalt therapy, learning how to stay present with daily life as it unfolds.
As these practices deepened, my way of eating changed naturally. I gradually moved toward a plant-based diet, guided by how my body and mind responded. Living as a vegan in Japan is not always easy—I’ve learned this firsthand. That difficulty is one of the reasons I started this website.
I hope this space can be a gentle, practical resource for people living in Japan, and for anyone around the world who feels curious about vegan Japanese food and culture.
A calm, honest, and quietly supportive place—like opening a notebook left on the kitchen table ☕️
